Spaces in filenames with mpg123

Is there any way that I can play mp3 files using mpg123 if there are spaces in the file names.

If not how do I execute xmms from the command line to play a song. (i.e. having the filename in the command)

put a back slash before the space so for example
lets say the file is called :
Running In The River.mp3

you will type :
mpg123 Running\ In\ The\ River.mp3

you should also be able to get away with putting the song in quotes :
for example :
mpg123 "Running In The River.mp3"

Don't forget shells' auto-completition either Example:

mpg321 Ru

then press TAB, Linux will auto-complete the name for ya. Mastering this means saying good bye to any graphical tool, it's so much faster doing things like moving, editing, and creating files like this
