fdisk -l /dev/hda will give you a listing of your first hard disk, and I think it includes unpartitioned space as well.

If you haven't created partitions in the free space, it may not be reported. I can't verify that right now, as all of the space on the 'puter I'm working on has been partitioned.

Tell us what distro (and version) you are using; all distros include fdisk, but some have more user-friendly disk utilities. For example, if you use Mandrake, the HardDrake utility makes it fairly easy to view/add/modify/ partitions, and it recognizes Win/FAT32 partitions as well.
