Dear neo77777

Finally i didi the installation today
What id did was from the root directory
1) i ran tar xvfz rpm2tgz.tgz it created a directory called usr/bin
inside which there were 2 files rpm2tgz and rpmoffset
2)Know to install the rpm engine i ran
/root/usr/bin/rpm2tgz somename.rpm
from the root directory
it gave me an message that it could not complete gzib and rpm
offset not found(rpm offset was in the same directory).

3.Know if found a somename.tar.gz file in the root directory

4.I ran gzib -z somenamename.tar.gz

5.the above file was converted bacto somename.tar

5.Know when i run tar -xvf somename.tar it run sucessfully but keeps returning an .tar file of same length and it did not serve hte purpose for which it was installed, can u help me out
