SoundTracker crashes when starting playback from the middle of the sequence
Here's a slightly unusual query.
Preamble: Many years ago I had an Acorn computer. That's long since bitten the dust, and the various freeware emulators (for both Win and Linux) don't really do a good job. However, the main reason for attempting to resurrect it was for the game soundtrackers (Lemmings et. al.) So, after copying all the trackers to my Linux box, I load up SoundTracker and try playing them.
Problem: If I playback from the start, everything's OK. But many games have several songs within the same tracker file. Unfortunately, if I skip to where song 2 starts in the sequence, Soundtracker freezes with 100% CPU usage. Running it from a terminal yields no information to stdout.
Over to you: I know Soundtracker's a positively ancient program (0.6.8 - February 2006), but has anyone else encountered this error and knows how to overcome it? Failing that, anyone know any similar programs I could try?
