Sound problem in Fedora 11

Hello,

My problem is that I can't hear anything in my new installed fedora11.

I've tried alot of things that I've read in this forum but worked.

Using the alsa-info.sh script I've uploaded some information to identify my problem:
http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=e3...37b781f58505b3

Thanks in advance.

Yes, everything is OK, nothing is muted there....

Also, when I type "alsaunmute" it returns a Unknown hardware message:

Quote:
$ alsaunmute
Unknown hardware: "HDA-Intel" "Nvidia ID 3" "HDA:111d7603,103c3629,00100202 HDA:11c11040,103c137e,00100200 HDA:10de0003,10de0101,00100000" "0x103c" "0x3629"
Hardware is initialized using a guess method

Hi all,

Am facing the same problem

Kindly look into the following and help me out,

Output of alsa-info
http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=eb...d39642a7a91054

sound has been working great and all of a sudden it stopped. In alsa mixer nothing is muted

no hardware is shown in GUI system > preferences > sounds

alsaunmute and alsactl init returns the following,
Code:
/sbin/alsactl: init:1727: No soundcards found...
Also installed pavucontrol , no go
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Commo...PDIF.29_output

lspci shows,

00:05.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio (rev a2)

lspci -v shows,

Code:
00:05.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio (rev a2)
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Device 8234
Flags: 66MHz, fast devsel, IRQ 21
	Memory at dfef8000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2
	Capabilities: [50] MSI: Enable- Count=1/1 Maskable+ 64bit+
Capabilities: [6c] HyperTransport: MSI Mapping Enable- Fixed+
	Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel

snd-hda-intel is not among the modules loaded ,

Code:
grep snd /proc/modules
snd_hda_codec_analog 54892 0 - Live 0xfa1f3000
snd_hda_codec 59436 1 snd_hda_codec_analog, Live 0xfa1ad000
snd_hwdep 6732 1 snd_hda_codec, Live 0xfa191000
snd_pcm 63236 1 snd_hda_codec, Live 0xfa177000
snd_timer 17760 1 snd_pcm, Live 0xfa140000
snd 50292 5 snd_hda_codec_analog,snd_hda_codec,snd_hwdep,snd_pcm,snd_timer, Live 0xfa125000
soundcore 5484 1 snd, Live 0xfa0df000
snd_page_alloc 7784 1 snd_pcm, Live 0xfa0d3000
but modprobe shows,

Code:
modprobe -l | grep snd-hda-intel
kernel/sound/pci/hda/snd-hda-intel.ko
Many post in internet directed to edit a conf file in this location which is something to do with sound , but could'nt find any,

Code:
ls -l /etc/modprobe.d/
total 32
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 52 2009-10-18 02:40 anaconda.conf
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 845 2009-04-10 00:10 blacklist.conf
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 16 2008-01-04 14:13 blacklist-visor.conf
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 5616 2009-05-20 07:26 dist.conf
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 473 2009-05-20 07:26 dist-oss.conf
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 53 2009-09-14 22:37 floppy-pnp.conf
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 30 2009-04-14 04:01 i2c-dev.conf
