sound problem
 
plz help
i have sound problem i m using rhel5 kernal 2.6.18-8.e15
audio model =Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02)
i have tried lot of thing but not getting result

Spell out your words.

First, if you'd like help, you're going to have to provide some actual details. Things like exactly WHAT you tried, what results you're getting etc. Saying "Tried lot of thing", gives us nothing to go on.

Second, since you're using RHEL, CALL REDHAT SUPPORT, since you're paying for it. If you're not paying for support, you would be far better off running a community-supported distro like CentOS, openSUSE, Mandriva, Ubuntu, etc. RHEL is a SERVER distro...as such, it's support for non-essential hardware (sound cards, wifi, etc.), is lacking. Servers don't typically have that hardware.

i m not paying for it but there is no solution in redhat5 related to sound

If you're not paying for it, then don't use it. You won't get patches/updates/packages/etc. Again, most server-distros don't have great support for consumer hardware, like sound and things. Load something else that has better support.

And, again...provide actual details about WHAT the error(s) are, what you tried, etc. You've still said nothing but "it doesn't work". We can try to help you, but you have to provide details
