Sound not working with flash plugin for firefox
 

Recently, for what seems no reason, the sound when I try to play a flash animation (e.g. Youtube) won't work. I tried to reinstall the plugin, and that didn't work. Anyone have any ideas? I'm running Firefox 1.5.0.5 on Ubuntu Dapper.

Are any other programs using the sound card at the same time? You could try stop all of these, restart firefox completely and the see if the audio works? Just to see what happens?

I actually solved the problem by installing the asla-oss package, and adding it to firefox. That worked out fine. Apparently it was a bug in youtube's code. Thanks for the help anyways.
