sound file -> FFT display

Hi, Penguins.

I am looking for spectrum analysis (FFT) program for sound file. It does not have to be real-time. (something like Lemur 5 years ago on Macintosh) Y axis for freqency and X axis for time plot.

I thought it would be easy to find, but so far not. Gwave does not work (debian package) and does not compile either. Freqtweak is fancy, but output format is not quite good for my purpose.

Does anybody know good program?

Thanks.

Try `audacity'. You may save spectrum to file and plot it with, say, `graph -CTX < spec' or `gnuplot'.

How nice! X axis is not perfect, but I think I can tweak.

Thanks
