sound editor

Hi all.. I have recoreded somy wma files and i want to edit them soehow
I need a linux programme for that
What i want to do is
a)increase the volume level
b)remove noise

You might want to read this discussion on the legality of editing copywrited files, and the limits of what you can do via the Audacity sound editor.

What do u mean copywrited files? I have recorded my files using a digital voice recorder... I dont have the right to edit theam ?
