Sound Card Missing?
Hey, first post here. Yesterday, everything on my openSUSE 11.2 distribution worked perfectly. However, when I booted it up today, Savage 2 mysteriously had no sound. When I checked the sound options, the default intel onboard sound card was not listed, and after going through yast>hardware>sound, the card is still listed, but in Other I noticed that the volume sliders are missing.
I can still play sounds through Amarok, and the startup sounds are working.
Since this occurred after a reboot, I believe this may be due to a software conflict, but since I am fairly new to linux I cannot find a way to see which packages were recently installed (like a sort by date) to find the culprit.
Any advice?
EDIT: Upon reboot a small notification from Phonon comes up, reading:
"The audio playback device HDA Intel (AL C888 Analog) does not work.
Falling back to ."
