Sorting Amarok Collection into directories

Hi folks,

I'm currently using amaroK which I find to be a fantastic media player. One feature currently not there which I miss from iTunes is when you include files into it's collection, you can't get it to move/copy it on your hard drive into a "file structure" (I hope you folks know what I'm talking about).

Are any of you aware of either an add-on or a stand alone program that can take a bunch of mp3 and sort them by artist/album/track # - trackname from id3 or (even better) take the data from the amaroK collection library and sort them?

Any help much appreciated,
Nick

When I installed iTunes on my M$ xp box, the rearranging of my files was the biggest pisser I could have ever imagined. I had to completly restart my collection since iTunes moved all of my files around. I for one think it is easier for the users to do it themselves, or make it optional.

You can't blame "M$" for what Apple's application does...
it is an option and had you read the install prompts correctly (or turn it on in one of the preferences) you would have saved your collection.

I for one didn't like it originally; however now I welcome it... I find myself using the front end application more anyways, not browsing the filesystem for the song... I wouldn't mind if Amarok had the same option...

I feel Amarok resembles iTunes in many ways...
Anyone know if it's possible in Amarok?
