Ok, LOL this is going to sound hilarious, but i did a 'find files' and found the logs!! Before you start laughing though, keep in mind that i am brand new to this, and sometimes the easy (well, somewhat easy) solutions dont come right away to you.....lol, but yeah i did a find for the folder the logs are in, and there they are, i am copying to cd as we speak Thanks for the help with that guys, esp sether......but hey, so now, how can i change shells again? You said you were interested in that output but with RXvt i cant copy the text?

i'm not really familiar with rxvt. i would try konsole. i believe typing "konsole" in rxvt will start it, otherwise try to find konsole in the kde menu (a star in mandrake).

where were the logs?
