Sometimes my ubuntu shuts the computer down

I can't see what's actually happening - I wish I knew. I get no warning at all and *BAM* my OS unloads and terminates.

So does the computer simply power off or do you get a "normal" shutdown sequence? If it's the former you might be suffering from over heating, as for the latter you should check out the log directory.

I work in linux but my lin crashes seem to damage winwdows
(device driver).

LM_sensors fails at bootup.

My computer was hot at each occasion (a couple of days ago 105 celcius GPU). In use I had a temperature tool.

I'm typing as fast as I can, before the pc goes down agian!!

general temp: max 50

way to control grapiics card,
is nvidia-glx enabled with effects safe and stable??
