some sound problems

Hii, I am trying to get Amarok work with the Xine engine, but I hear no voice, what coult be the reason?
and second
I have install VLC with pacam -S vlc (33 mega!) (I am using Arch linux)
and when trying to run VLC I get
"vlc: error while loading shared libraries: libxvidcore.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
even thought I have this lib installd, what can I do please?:confused:

this library i sprobably not in /usr/lib but in another directory. And your run time linker is probably not aware of this directory. So find in which directory is located your library and add this path either to your LD_LIBRARY_PATH environnement variable or to /etc/ld.so.conf file and then run "/sbin/ldconfig"
