some questions about wine
 

hello every one :> i am new in linux and come from
P.R.C . i install the wine . and in my school we visit the
internet website by lan ,but i have to use a software to login in so as to visit the internet website in windows.
if not i can ping the gateway but can't see the web.
so,i want to on line in linux and install the wine and
install that software .but something terrible happen
when i run that software
it display :
warning :trying to use ICMP(network ping) will fail unless
running as root

and can't login in could anyone help me:>

tell what command you are actually issuing, and how are you issuing it, such as normal user or root? give a little more detail into your error, install with rpm or tarbalL?

i do like this:
 

i went to the directory which install the login software

run : wine easyload.exe

then happen what i said just now

i run the wine as a user not root
