SOLVED: on screen keyboard suggestions?

Looking for one that will pop up automatically when tapping in a text box on a touchscreen monitor.

Tried onboard and maliit, but the first one is not all that good and the second one doesn't work haha!

Running Manjaro xfce. Those are the only two I could find in the AUR.

"not good" and "doesn't work"?
Not much to go on here.
Please make an effort (read the first 2 links in my signature).

Why do you prefer the AUR over standard Arch/Manjaro repos? I get a few relevant results for "pacman -Ss virtual keyboard".

And there's always xvkbd - ugly by default but highly customisable. I once read an article somewhere. It was good.

As in not all that good for me, and it didn't pop up when entering a text box.

I don't prefer them at all, I use Add/Remove all the time and use both the official repos and the aur, I have no preference. I DO prefer using Add/Remove rather than cli, it auto removes conflicts, cleans up orphans and generally makes life a lot easier. I don't have to remember a lot of "code" letters and dashes and numbers etc etc.

Thanks for noting xvkbd, I hadn't seen that one I'll give it a try.

Found one called Florence - looks like it might be useable, so I'll run with it for a while.
