the other day i noticed that when i click on a .deb file and gdebi package installer launches and i click install or reinstall it closes without installing or giving me an error message. this has not been an issue in nemo cause all i have to do is rightclick choose ope with and select qapt package installer and i can install or reinstall the .deb without issue. the issuse i'm having is that in dolphin qapt is not showing under the open with menu, and i haven't been able to find it to add it there or make it the default like i want. any suggestions on fixing this would be greatly appreciated. thanks

i have a solution.

go to folder where deb is, open terminal there, then "sudo gdebi filename.deb"
