solve my problem


i have mandrive 9 on my pc. but it does not support graphical mode. it support only text mode. please help me.

please use informative thread titles if you want help. and you've said nothing at all useful about your system. if it doesn't support graphical mode, what are we supposed to suggest? buy a new PC?

As a member of LQ.org you seem to be misusing using the site, or simply do not understand how a forum works. you have just posted question after question of X vs Y and never followed up on any of them. What's that all about?? Please use this resource properly.

What hardware? Especially, what is the graphic card and monitor?

Did it ever work?

Have you tried specifying the "vesa" driver?

Have you tried running xorgconfig?

In text mode, what happens if you enter "startx"?
