What video player are you using? XMMS? MPlayer? |
what is the software you are trying to play the file with?
what is the error message you are getting? |
Is there some programs better than mplayer ?

hey why write this way????????
hey, i am using linux default player.the error message is"can't open...."so now it's ur turn
|
mplayer or xine. and then you need to get codecs. windows/quicktime/real player codecs can be had at mplayer's site. xine will use mplayer's codecs. and you may need to get divx4linux from divx.com.

Hey dont be shy,
Its ok to say the name of the player and the name of the file you are trying to play. |

Use Mplayer and in case that don't work, try xine.
My box is setup so that those files opens directly in Mplayer and if that don't work. I'm opening them with Xine. no problems there. *grins* not even with the ones i've packed with Dr.Divx on my XP part either (divx 5.05) |
