software way to switch between X sessions

I know how to start multiple X sessions on a single host and to switch between them using Ctrl-Alt Funct combination.

Is there a command that allows to do what the key combination does ?

Thanks all

Hmmm, a second X session will appear on F8 I think...

I reckon that you could just go to a terminal and "export DISPLAY=localhost:1.0 " then "startx" and it should work... I havent tested this though, but it's something like that. BTW I've done it in the past with less than desireable results, so maybe it was all wrong!

Anyway, maybe that will help you a bit... maybe not...
