Hi Electro,

Thanks for your advice.

Also the AGP bus is not accessing or fighting with other devices so less latency and be able use raw codecs with out dropping frames.
Sorry I am not very clear on this point of your comment. Are both AGP Video cards with built in video capture and PCE video capture cards plugged in motherboard slot? When shopping it is not easy to identify which card is suitable for which OS, particularly Linux. Sometimes the shopkeeper will give you incorrect information. Can you give me some advice

Thanks

And in this modern 21st century day and age, the critical question arises of whether you want a PC TV card to receive analog or digital television broadcasts.

Both types are available from Hauppauge

<http://www.hauppauge.COM>

and their analog tv/radio cards work very well under Linux since
they have the BT848 chip which is well supported by the BTTV driver, providing both tv and radio support.

You should visit the BTTV driver page

<http://www.bytesex.org/bttv>

for details of the driver for the BT848 analog tv cards, and

<http://www.linuxtv.org/>

for details of supported digital tv (DVB-t) cards.
