Hello there!
I am new to linux and am using suse10.3 with KDE3.5. I have limited access to internet but have still managed to download a lot of applications and repositories. I wanted to know, if one day due to hardware or software problems my installation goes kaput, can I backup my entire installation to external source like DVD-R from where I can restore my system(somewhat like norton ghost). Replies appreciated.
Distribution: Fedora, Knoppix, Slackware, openSuse, and SystemRescueCD

I use SystemRescueCD to do my back ups using PartImage. You can back up to CD/DVD, Hard Drive, External Hard Drive, Network Drive, etc... I use it for both my Windows and openSuse partitions.
