Software Sharing on a single pc

Hello,

Im running Fedora Core 2 on a computer here where 5 users log in sometimes. Now i am finding some new software packages which are good usable for them (its my parents pc where my sisters also work ).

Now when i install an rpm package like this:

rpm -i package.rpm

it is installed, BUT i can only use it on the account where i installed it! So my question is, is there a command included in the rpm command to make the program accesible to all users? or do i have to move it to a certain directory?

Tnx in advance

this is not how RPM is supposed to behave. the account you should be installing them from should be root, which is the only account that should be able to install files system wide. possibly rpm is installing the apps with /home/you/. run it as root and everyone should be able to use them.
