Hello everybody,

I've got problems with my software RAID. I'm running RAID on Slackware 9 with an 2.4.20 kernel source.

If I start my computer it will start my RAID because I made the partitions fd. But when I want to stop it with command:
"raidstop /dev/md0"
raid comes with the message
"cannot determine md version: 25"

What can I do about it?
I tried new raidtools but I have already the newest: 1.00.3
I tried making the first sectors clean of the partitions with
"dd if=dev/zero of of=dev/sda2"
but it also won't work.

No idea really. Random suggestion: what about trying to strace raidstop /dev/md0? It may bring you a little closer to what the error message means.
