what is the exact meaning of the term "software module" in linux ?

Hi,

I think that "software module" is quite a vague term, even in reference to Linux. However, it you mean "kernel module" in Linux, then that is fairly well defined and easy to google. If you do indeed mean "software module", I think we'll need some context in order to help.
