Software Manager/Mandrake Update Quit Working
Last week Mandrake Update quit working. I came to this conclusion because I know there are updates but none show up in the update window. I then went to update my mirror list and kept getting an error adding the mirror. I removed rpmdrake and reinstalled it per a suggestion. It still doesn't work. Below are what shows up when I run MandrakeUpdate from the command line (the same errors show up for rpmdrake):
using different removable device [/dev/scd0] for "Installation CD1 (x86) (cdrom1)" This continues for all the CD's in the power pack as well as the cd's in the 3 cd installation for some reason. Then I get: added medium gd.tuwien.ac.at retrieving source hdlist (or synthesis) of "gd.tuwien.ac.at"... retrieve of source hdlist (or synthesis) failed no hdlist file found for medium "gd.tuwien.ac.at" unable to update medium "gd.tuwien.ac.at" I thought possibly this had something with my new dsl connection but I remembered that right after I finally got it working I downloaded updates and was impressed with how fast they downloaded. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated Chris |
