I have many unknown software issues and I've been trying to figure out what the issues are and I have no such luck. I get these messages when I boot I have found different software packages installed them then updated seemed to help a lot!!! still get this message while booting. I'm so lost is my laptop a lost cause??? worth fixing??

I see nothing untoward in the screen captures you posted. As far as I can tell, they look like normal boot messages. Such messages occur with every computer OS. It's just that most of them hide them behind a splash screen.

Please provide more information:

What distro/version/desktop environment are you using? (Your user agent icon says Ubuntu, but many Ubuntu derivatives report as Ubuntu.)

Does the boot process complete and are you able to log in?

What is not working or what unexpected/undesired behavior to lead you to believe you have software issues?

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 and my laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C55D A5108 originally came with windows 8.1 and as far as i can tell the boot process completes and yes i can log in. some hardware issues that i feel could be software related is my built in speakers aren't working and my microphone isn't working. Under terminal ive typed in the dmesg command and i have no idea what much of it means

from your 2nd screenshot:

systemctl status systemd-modules-load.service
have you entered that into a terminal?
