Software for speed reading?

I am interested in learning to improve my reading speed. I would like to know if there are any software programs in Linux to help with speed reading, especially some that would have good instruction on the principles.

Thanks for help

I've also seen great books\tips plus audio files on that subject.

Hi. For practice: Text Aloud was a good one (but is only.exe :() try searching your packagemanager* for 'reader,' 'flash card' or 'text to speech' like apps (my Debian shows Jovie or Festival),,, maybe: http://lifehacker.com/358213/double-...rldflashreader ,
http://ankisrs.net/ or
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=598519 ?
Good luck and have fun. :)

Edit\add: Here's one I was thinking of (step 3 especially:) Double Your READING SPEED In Ten Minutes - BRAIN CONCENTRATION- an AUDIOBOOK by Paul Scheele
some text I've seen on the subject suggests reading many words in one glance letting your brain skip useless ones like 'and another thing' etc.
The eyes actually draw a lot of brain power. VLC can speed ideas in sound like Jovie+ as well and if you close your eyes you can listen\learn even faster... not that it would help with hard copies. ;)
