Software for seeing workgroups

I have a network which has a wide range of mixed OS. I'm having trouble seeing workgroups, and any other pcs. I have red hat 9 on my servers, and was wondering if anyone has a perfered tool for viewing a network and it would bring up individual pc and/or workgroups.
Thanks,
Homer

I assume you mean smb workgroups? You can use smbclient. If you are having problems getting results then the master browser system has probably failed. Try setting the "os level" option in smb.conf on one of your linux boxes to a higher number like "165" also enable the "prefered master" and "local master" options.
