software for Linux
 

Ok, I got my wife to switch to linux. Now to keep her on it, I need a couple of comparable programs. She use printmaster gold to make cards and stuff also, she used windows movie maker. Is there anything like these programs for linux?

Card creators are tough I've never heard of one for linux. Search sourceforge.net for alot movie making programs plenty of those floating around.

A few recommendations besides the Link.
Compupic: Free and creates cards. Very easy and powerful. k3b as a CD burner. Teach her OpenOffice writer, Drawing, SpreadSheet at a minimum. With XMMS, turn on expanded stereo. Spoils you for anything less. GnuCash, and the dictionary/thesaurus applets on the KDE taskbar. The above is what sold my wife! :D
