Software for Image Printing

Hi there,

I'm looking for a little application for easy picture printing similar to the Microsoft Windows Printing Wizard which comes with the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer (see screenshot).

So far I've tested PhotoPrint which basically is exactly what I want, but it takes ages to process the print data. When I click on "print" it takes around 3 Minutes for a small picture to send it to the printer. Really weird.

Which applications are you guys using for quick and dirty image printing?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Blackhole

if you mean for printing multiple images on one page, there is digikam, for example, which contains a printing wizard similar to the windows one. Gimp has also a script that can do that ("contact sheet" I think). There is also Kallery, which creates a html gallery, that you can then print from your browser. Or you could use scribus if you wanna have total control over the layout.
There are really lots of possibilities...

Thanks a lot. I'll give digikam a go. However I really don't want a full blown up photo album / photo editing application. I want something simple for users who just want to print their photos.

Something like gimp would be too complicated. Just something to drag and drop your pictures from Dolphin/Konqueror/Nautilus into the application window, choose a layout and hit "print".

Looking forward to more tipps,
Blackhole
