software add and remove
 

i try to add and remove software and i got a mesage saying,
Another application is running which is accessing software.
it wont let me add and remove software.

What distro are you using? What that error message usually means is that you have another application running that is capable of adding/removing packages. You can only run one of these programs at a time.
