So how do i get trillian to run better under wine/crossover office?
ok guys. i isntalled trillian pro 2.013 using crossover office 3.0. I can execute it, but the handles for all my IMs are gone...the little X, maximize and minimize...ok thats not so terrible...but then again i cannot veiw my buddy list at all, nor can i apply skins..
Ive heard of people running trillian problemless in wine, moreso in crossover office with some plugin. can anyone help me out on this?

Its much less work to use Gaim or Kopete. Have you considered that? Or, are you trying to recoupe your $$ spent for Trillian Pro?

haha uhh the second one. plus, i can enlarge the fonts as i need to. kopete and gaim, the bottom box is ALWAYS too small n such....plus trillian can be neatly skinned.....and combines all my buddy lists....
I know kopete does similar...does gaim combine lists?

It does by default. If you can successfully make Trillian work and it does file transfers, you'd be better off with that, I guess. Gaim and Kopete don't yet (at least for Yahoo and MSN), whcih is why I use amsn and yahoo's own client to chat with my stubborn non-icq friends.
When i was interested in trying to get Shareaza working under Linux, I tried to play with wine. I couldn't get it to work and gave up trying other apps, but I did see that it is possible to get Trillian to work. Check at the wine site's faq's on how to do it.
