SNMP based monitoring of MySQL

Dear All,

I am using MySQL version 5.1.47 (64bit) on Centos 5.5 in production environment. I am exploring option to monitor MySQL though SNMP traps. Can anybody please let me know if there is any open source SNMP tool that can be used for MySQL monitoring?

you can use NEt-SNMP which is perl based software.

Dear smus,

Thanks for your quick reply. Can these SNMP tools send traps to another SNMP tool like tivoli? I am in need to have that kind of SNMP tool that can forward traps to some other NMS like tivoli.

what you need is configuring a SNMP proxy i guess, if so you can configure it like that..

mysql --> SNMP tool --> SNMP tool
