sndconfig 0.70

I have updated to Mandrake 10.0 from 9.1.
I have run sndconfig as root. It comes up with the sound card (SB) and tells me it will play a test sound. At this point the execution freezes. When you try to shut down PC the system hangs on.

Try running /usr/sbin/drakconf as root.
Choose Hardware and alow it to detect your card.
If the wrong module is loaded (you would already know the correct one from your previous install)
Run the config tool.
Now Edit /etc//modules.conf with your favorite text editor as root.

above your module snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-slot-0 your module

Substitute your module with the real module name.

Log out - Log back in to sound ( Hopefully)
