SMTP/POP server to send e-mail + convert UTF8 to Windows1252?
Hello
I'm looking for a Linux application that can perform the following two tasks:
Let me send e-mails through Gmail's SMTP server because my ISP's SMTP server sometimes mislabels legitimate e-mails as SPAM
If need be, convert incoming e-mails from UTF8 to Windows1252, since I use an old e-mail client (Eudora) which doesn't support UTF8. To make matters worse more interesting, some UTF8-encoded e-mails miss the "Content-Type" line, so the server should have some heuristics to tell if the e-mail uses UTF8 and must be converted
E-MailRelay looks interesting but I'm not sure if it can perform those tasks. If not, can you recommend another solution?
Change email client? (thunderbird...).
Seriously, it's easier solution and better than keeping on using outdated software that will not get updated, imo
