smbfs mounting problem

i admin a win2000 networked computers from a RH9 PC.samba server/client installed.
i decided to mount the w2k client computer's disk drives in my linux machine.
i use "mount -t smbfs ...." command.i succeded. For automating this routine i added those mount commands in /etc/rc.local - script.
well it's running fine. but the trouble is during the execution of few commands the system hangs.(everything is fine i.e the network, client computer is up ....)
Similar thing also happens when i execute the mount command in terminal, but after 1or2 retries it works!.(not for all commands).

I want to mount all the drives during the boot time itself without any TROUBLE !.

I don't know why you'd have trouble mounting from terminal.
I'd try adding the shares to /etc/fstab...seems to work fine for me.
