smbclient -p 139 -M hostname. PROBLEM!

I try to send a message to windows pc with: smbclient -p 139 -M hostname, but I get the following error: session request failed

I used ip instead of hostname but the I got the same error. The <hostname> pc has 139 port opened and receives messages from other pcs. As for me, I aslo receive messages with my samba (I mean my samba is working good), but I cant send!
Any ideas?

What about if you try without the port number specified?

Is it a host problem or client problem? ie can you send messages to the target computer from other computers? Can your client send messages to other hosts?

With "smbclient -M localhost" I send messages and I receive them. On the other pc (with windows xp) I use cmd->"net send <hostname> <message>". With "net send localhost <message>" I send and receive messages there. With "net send <my linux pc> <message >" I send and receive this message on the linux machine succesfuly.
So the only problem is on the linux machine. It can send messages to itself but it cant send messages to the windows xp machine.
I hope I've explained the problem clearly
