smaller font with aterm

I need help with aterm.

This is the default aterm setting on my system:
aterm -tr -T "Bash" -e /bin/bash

I need to open an aterm with the same default font but smaller font size, when I am using a smaller display monitor.

I don't know the default font and the man page is confusing me.

What option(s) can add to this aterm command to give me a smaller (than default) font size?

sorry i don't know what is default font
when you designate fonts in Linux you just put the whole craze name
aterm -fn -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal-*-14-*-*-*-c-*-iso8859-15
another example with less specifics
aterm -fn *fixed-bold-r-*-15-*-*
you can use * for anything you don't want to designate
you can use any font on your system
try the command xfontsel to see all the crazy posibilities
you can also designate in ~/.Xresources with a line like
Aterm*font: -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal-*-14-*-*-*-c-*-iso8859-15
Aterm*geometry: 60x20+360+160
and also can designate every other parameter like that example
Aterm*transparent: true

Hey studioj, Thanks!

I changed my aterm options.

aterm -tr -T "Bash" -e /bin/bash

aterm -fn *-*-*-*-8-*-* -tr -T "Bash" -e /bin/bash

Just by introducing
-fn *-*-*-*-8-*-*
I was able to keep whatever the default font settings and still reduce the font size to 8.
Exactly what I wanted.
