Small Simple System Monitor
Hi everyone,

Iím using Fedora Core 2 on a server that i am currently setting up. I would like a small program that will report the current system temperatures on the desktop. I have had a good look around and can find loads for Windows, the ones i find for Linux im not sure how good they are or if they will even work with Fedora!

What are your recommendations guys?

Try Gkrellm

If you use KDE, you can get something called SuperKaramba. Superkaramba is an engine that lets you put various toys right onto your desktop. A lot of Superkaramba programs are system monitors.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Im using GNOME, and i wont the program to be as small as possible. I have seen GKrellM, it provides to much.

Is there any smaller programs about?

I believe Gkrellm can be configured to show only the temperature, but you'll have to check that.

Yeah i think your correct. But the server is low spec, and that program seems far to much for what i wont it to do
