Slow Apache (watch .jpg load)

Note how slow my images are loading from my Apache server...
This may not be Apache's fault but I never had this issue with any other distro running apache and I just swapped to FC4 so I thought I would ask...
All my images come up super slow. I am hosting some average sized .JPG's and they are just acting like I am hosting 1280x1024 size.
I am on a cable connection that is 5mb down and 300kb up but am not sure how I am able to increase or speed up my slow loading images.

Hi Carlwill,

Are you able to get an X session on the box itself and see what happens when you try to view these images? Or have you tried wget on the machine that hosts them? It should be almost instantaneous with wget...

Is the machine that hosts this doing anything else too?
