If you want to setup or configure, such as configuring TCP/IP, DNS or etch. And since you are using SuSE (which is one of my favourites). Then i would suggest you should use the tool YAST, you can run this by typing yast2 or yast in the terminal or in the run window. There are a lot of things you can configure there such as adding and removing packages, configuring a dns, dhcp, cups and etch, changing hostname or ip address.
But if you really want to learn more, then you should try learning to configure using a terminal console. I would recommend learning cbt or learnkey Linux +
