i need clarification, read so much info on this and confused as to what i have done wrong
basically i want to set up as follows sles 9 linux box with shares on it users will authenticate to the windows ad and a mapping will map to the sles 9 box - therefore pass thru authentication from ad to linux/samba i have successfully set up the samba, nsswitch configuration running the kinit and wdinfo -u wdinfo -g returns back successfully with the correct information problem is when i am on a windows 2000 pro workstation, logged into the active directory and i type \\linux_server\share name it asks me for a username and password for authentication what ever login info i give it wont accept, not even the root login what have i done wrong ? any info would be greatly appreciated |
