Slackware9.1+Alsa Drivers

I have a Soyo Dragon Plys with CMI8738 6 channels.

The drive alsa is not working fine.

1 Problem the mpg123 the sound is not working good.
2 Problem Quake 3 arena start without sounds. I think the game and some programs don't find the alsa drivers and starts without sound or the sound very bad...

I guess it is happending because I did a upgrade the slack9.0 to slack9.1.

How can I start my slackware without Alsa-drivers?

I saw in /etc/rc.d/rc.alsa and I uncomment all lines but the drivers it is starting yet.

How Can I resolve this problem?

Thanks for atention,

Sorry Bad English...
