slackware on HP


hi friends

i have HP2519 model .......i want to conform that all its feature like finger print reader, web cam etc work fine with slackware so that i can install that..............

if there anything that can,t work ...do tell me.......

hard to tell, i can tell you right away that with basic install most of your hardware wont work, you will need to enable them in your kernel, and/or install firmware/drivers. If you want to receive more detailed info, you gotta post your hardware list (chipset, Ethernet card, processor, who made your fingerprint reader and webcame, etc.)

I would try it with a live CD first. I know puppy is a slack-based live cd, but I prefer the ubuntu ones. DSL (damn small linux) is good for basic testing too.
