slackware gxine problem

hello

I'am currently running slackware11 with kernell 2.4.33.3
I have a internal sound card and a usb logitech headset

If I'am using the internal soundcard (via82xx) everything run fine
When I want to use the headset I first modify the /etc/modules.conf
in order to modify the loading order of the modules

alias char-major-116 snd
alias char-major-14 soundcore

alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss

alias snd-card-0 snd-usb-audio
alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0
options snd-usb-audio index=0

#alias snd-card-0 snd-via82xx
#alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0
#options snd-via82xx index=0

alias sound-service-1-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-1-1 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-1-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-1-8 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-1-12 snd-pcm-oss

#alias snd-card-1 snd-usb-audio
#alias sound-slot-1 snd-card-1
#options snd-usb-audio index=1

alias snd-card-1 snd-via82xx
alias sound-slot-1 snd-card-1
options snd-via82xx index=1

and my usb headset is working fine with Amarok, xmms, etc...
except with gxine which continue using the via82xx sound card !!!

Any idea where I should check ?
