slackware 9 install issues

im trying to install slackware 9 on my machine but am having some problems. here is a screenshot of what happens members.aol.com/fivespdlex/screen.jpg (sorry, it wont let me post links, just copy paste)

it just hangs there. i think its cause of my weird config. im running an LSIU160 card with a seagate Cheetah x15k.3. im also running SATA with a Seagate 120 gig drive. and finally, i have 3 cd drives hooked up on the PATA. can anyone help me?

Correct me if I'm wrong but is say's: Unknown IDE controller in PCI bus which means that the controller isn't supported by the kernel and therefore your disk can not be reached. ?

eeeeh very strange config indeed :)
I guess you need to boot a weird kernel, I don't know much about SATA (and PATA? what's that?) but I suggest you to try to boot the install with a different kernel than the "default basic ide" one. I think you have to hit F1 at the first prompt. :)

PATA = parallel ata ;)

well i got it to work. turns out it was the SATA indeed. y i didnt figure out quicker was because i forget that linux reprobes all the hardware and the disabling it in the BIOS wouldnt do anything. once i disconnected it, all worked great.
