Slackware 13 64-bit / Firefox 3.5.2 / Cannot Install Flashplayer 10

I've tried installing flash player using the slackbuild and files provided on slackbuilds.org - http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13...player-plugin/

After installation everything looks well and good:

bash-3.1$ slocate libflashplayer.so
/usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so
/usr/lib64/firefox-3.5.2/plugins/libflashplayer.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so
bash-3.1$

But flash still won't work in Firefox.
I get the following errors:

/usr/lib64/firefox-3.5.2/plugins/libflashplayer.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32

The same error is also reported for both mozilla/plugin directories state above.

What's the trick to getting flash 10 working?
Thanks for your help.

There should also be a link in ./usr/mozilla/plugins.

In my experience(s) there is no trick. I just upgraded mine with a newer release a few hours ago and it built and installed fine as it has 6 or 7 different times from a stock 64 to current-as-of-today with an rc kernel. Are you running multilib or did you maybe forget to edit the arch variable in the slackbuild?

It would appear that you have the 64-bit one in the /mozilla/plugins
directory, and a wrong (32-bit) version in your firefox/plugins
directory ... if you actually had read
http://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/1...gin/slack-desc
you may have recognised your mistake; fix it by copying the file
from
/usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so
to
/usr/lib64/firefox-3.5.2/plugins/libflashplayer.so

Cheers,
Tink

Thank you for your helpful responses.
I didn't realize it, but yes, I actually downloaded and placed both the 32 and 64 bit flash plugins in the build directory.

1. Deleted all instances of libflashplayer.so
2. Removed the 32 bit plugin tarball
3. Modified the slackbuild ARCH statement to "-x86_64" and repeated the slackbuild install, making certain I had 64-bit tarball in build directory.

Confirmed: flash player fully operational.
