Lightbulb Slack 9 and TV-card?

Hi,
hope somone can help me, I have a BT878-based TV card and Slack 9 also includes it into zhe kernel. Which Software can I use to see the Picture off the TV. Is there any packet with all things I need to watch TV with my card under Slack 9.0? Is there maybe a HowTo or something like that to explain a newbie like me the use of such a thing. My card is a Askey TView 99 (CPH061) with a Phillips FM12xx Pal-Tuner and a Brooktree BT878-Capture Chip.
thanx
Michael

PS: Excuse my bad english, I am just a german .

ok, you need to use the bttv driver to run the card, does "lsmod" show that bttv is loaded? if so then just run an application such as xawtv, motv, zapping gnometv or others to get a picture.

Hi,

I am running slack 9.0 and use a TV card myself.
Take a look at /usr/src/linux/Documentation/video4linux/bttv
(this of course requires the kernel-sources ;-)
in particular CARDLIST tells you the id of your card.
Moreover you should run MAKEDEV (in the same directory)
in order to generate the neccessary devices.
After that

modprobe bttv card=#

should work
