skipping ./configure, make and .NET emulation

There are currently two reasons I'm not using linux full time.
First: I'm currently learning OpenGL so I need an good IDE I'v tested both KDevelop and anjuta, i didn't like them, mostly because i have to run automake, ./configure all the time, and because the autohide functions weren't working.
Second: i can't the .NET framework to function in cedega. This problem isn't than important but still.
If anyone could help me with any of these i'd be a very happy person.

noone "needs" a good IDE... you'd be amazed what percentage of Linux is written in vi or emacs. there are other IDE's of course though, eclipse is aimed at java officially, but is *huge* and supports most langauges.

as for .NET... try mono. if you need to actually use the real .NET use windows. that's not a cop out, or a shortcoming of Linux, but .NET is proprietary windows code, it'll never work well through an compatability layer like cedega. mono is the open source project designed to reimplement .NET under the gpl on as many platforms as you can eat.

Thanks for the reply but the problem isn't that I need .NET support in Linux i need .NET support in cedega. I tried eclipse but i still need to use gcc make and automake.
